When I recommend products, I always test them out on myself first. I have a list of products, some labeled gluten free, some by chance do not have gluten added....
Color - The brand of color that does not have gluten and I have extensive training on is Wella Color. (http://www.wellausa.com/) There maybe others out there, but I know how Wella works. It's never given me any problems with my own hair. I have been everything between dark chocolate, purple and blond with Wella. I love this color line.
Shampoo and Conditioner - I stick with Surface, certified gluten free!!!! I love Surface! (http://www.surfacehair.com/) I use the Bassu Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. It's a great every occasion shampoo and conditioner. Awaken Theraputic Shampoo and Conditioner is amazing too, just try it, you will be hooked!
Styling Products - My everyday, can't live without product has to be Surface Baba Hydrating Oil. It's pure therapy for your hair, you can use it on your face, I reach for the bottle several times. Before I blowdry, after I straighten, before I put makeup on my face, and on my neck to prevent wrinkles.
Second product I cannot live with out - Redken Allign - great blowout product, not a gluten free certified products, no gluten added. Even without a brush my hair is straighter after drying.
Hairspray - Sukesha, the hairspray I would wear as a perfume, love it....Of course Surface - Theory Hairspray the only "green" aerosol hairspray on the market. Both are easy to use, no build up. I couldn't even pick which I would be a second choice, I love them both.
All of the products I use are salon products. I know that salon quality products are healthier for my hair and will allow my hair longer life. I will give some budget friendly choices in the next post.
